Paspalum dilatatum
Paspalum is a coarse, clumping perennial grass weed that thrives in poorly maintained turf. It has thick, broad leaves and produces sticky seed heads that attach to clothing and equipment. Paspalum spreads via seeds and short rhizomes, making it difficult to manage in sports fields. Control involves spot treatments with selective herbicides, manual removal, and improving turf density.
Control Options:
Colin Campbell Passtox Clear, ENVU Tribute, Indigo ProForce Duke, Indigo ProForce Geronimo 800SL, Syngenta Barricade.
