Sporobolus africana
Parramatta Grass is a tufted perennial grass weed that spreads through wind-dispersed seeds. It is highly invasive, tolerating drought and low-fertility soils. Once established, it forms dense, hard-to-remove clumps that degrade the quality of sports turf. Control includes frequent mowing, herbicide treatment, and improving soil conditions to favor desired turf species.
Control Options:
Syngenta Barricade.
