Trifolium spp.
Clover, including white clover (Trifolium repens), is a common turfgrass weed that spreads through creeping stolons. It has trifoliate leaves and small, white or pinkish flowers that attract pollinators. Clover thrives in nitrogen-deficient soils, making fertilization a key control method. Regular mowing and selective broadleaf herbicides help keep it in check.
