Cyclocephala signaticollis
The Argentinian scarab is a white grub species that feeds on turfgrass roots, leading to yellowing and dieback. Adults are light brown and emerge in summer to lay eggs in the soil. Severe infestations weaken turf, making it susceptible to drought stress. Control strategies include biological agents like nematodes and targeted insecticides.
